Passport to the ArtsPlan now to attend Passport to the Arts – a three-day, public art event held annually on Santa Fe’s historic Canyon Road over Mother’s Day weekend. Headline events include the Artist Quick Draw and the Artists’ Reception & Live Auction on Saturday. Weekend Activities: Openings, exhibitions, and receptions for artists will be held at many of the internationally-known galleries and artist studios on Santa Fe’s historic Canyon Road beginning on Friday night and extending throughout the weekend. More than 100 artists will participate in the weekend’s activities.

Art exhibits, demonstrations, live music, trunk shows & activities for kids will be offered behind the century-old adobe walls and in the sculpture gardens of the galleries, boutiques, shops, and eateries that line this magical mile.

Passport to the Arts Live & Silent Auctions will include paintings, sculpture, glass, jewelry, weavings, photographs, and pottery.Please sign up for updates

50 locations on historic Canyon Road will host special events on Friday night – Silent Auctions, Artist receptions, gallery openings, food, music, and much more.

Silent Auctions

Saturday All Day
Take time between the Artist Quick Draw and the Live Auction to experience the world of art on historic Canyon Road. Spend the afternoon in rhythm with a variety of musical offerings & gallery shows held at different venues in the Canyon Road art district. Galleries, boutiques, shops and eateries will host special art exhibits, demonstrations, music, trunk shows, fashion shows, and fun things for kids to do and see.

Passport to the Arts’
Artist Quick Draw

Saturday, May 10, 2014 11am – 1pm MDT

More than 70 Canyon Road gallery artists will have just 2 hours to start and finish an original work of art in the Passport to the Arts’ Quick Draw. It’s a rare opportunity to observe a large number of diverse artists working in the most challenging circumstances. Sculptors, jewelry makers, potters, and artists of all creative persuasions participate, using an array of media and techniques refined over years in studios.

56 Artists have already signed up for the Quick Draw which takes place at a variety of outdoor locations along a half-mile stretch of historic Canyon Road. Times are precise so please arrive early on Canyon Road!

Special Silent Auctions will be held on Friday & Saturday at many Canyon Road galleries during Passport to the Arts.  Visit all of the galleries in the Canyon Road art district or online to discover opportunities to acquire a special treasure from Canyon Road. Bidding ends at 4pm on Saturday, May 10th. Contact individual businesses for item listings. Many galleries will be accepting online and telephone bids.
